ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum—LAS VEGAS, NV (May 26, 2010)—Pitney Bowes Software today announced that it has been named a leading provider of Infrastructure and Financial solutions in the 2010 Celent’s Insurance Software Deal Trends report. The ranking is based on the software deals Pitney Bowes Software signed in 2008 and 2009. In addition, Pitney Bowes Software was ranked among the top 20 companies in Celent’s Traction Index, which represents a weighted score for each vendor’s deal activity.

The report analyzes a total of 2,005 software deals submitted by 39 vendors, signed between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009. Approximately 61 percent of the transactions analyzed were attributed to the property and casualty industry and the remaining were attributed to the life, annuity and health industry. 26.5 percent of the property and casualty deals were segmented into the infrastructure and financial subcategory. Pitney Bowes Software was among the top six vendors within this category.

“We offer our congratulations to Pitney Bowes Software for being named a leading vendor in Celent’s Deal Trends 2010 report,” said Karen Monks, analyst in Celent’s insurance practice. “This year it is evident that insurers value IT partners who understand their business strategy as well as their budgetary and operational needs. The down economy solidified several insurer/vendor relationships as insurers increasingly looked to their existing IT partners to meet their needs. Pitney Bowes Software’s success in 2008 and 2009 highlights them as a trusted IT partner in today’s insurance market.”

“We are extremely honored to have been ranked as a leading vendor in Celent’s Deal Trends 2010 report,” said Dave Towers, managing director, Financial Services & Insurance, Pitney Bowes Software. “This is our first year being recognized by Celent for our ongoing efforts within the insurance and financial services industry. Pitney Bowes Softwares is committed to providing our loyal customers within the insurance and financial services industry with innovative solutions to grow their business and manage their risk.”
