Location Intelligence Module
Create a true view of your data and increase customer satisfaction
Integrate the best customer data quality capabilities with rich location intelligence. Utilize a unified, robust platform to solve complex business problems and create a true view of your data and your customers. Go beyond the address to gain a true understanding of your customer’s location through the use of geospatial data.
Improve customer service with more accurate location data
Pitney Bowes Software’s Location Intelligence Module is part of our powerful Spectrum Technology Platform. This Module empowers you to use geospatial technology to easily confirm target locations within specific boundaries. This robust capability takes address determination to the next level. The Location Intelligence Module uses pinpoint precision to help you reduce risk and serve your customers better, all without the need for a specialized Geographical Information System (GIS). For organizations that rely on accurate location attributes, the Module automates the conversion of quality geospatial and other data into practical business information.
The Location Intelligence Module more accurately verifies location and confirms the closest site for customer service activities. By doing so, you determine need, eligibility and the location of the nearest customer service location – all within a single operation.

Understand the boundaries
The Location Intelligence Module uses a spatial or geographic boundary database, along with longitude and latitude coordinates to identify the geographic inclusion or exclusion of points in a polygon. This Point-in-Polygon (PIP) capability enables you to more accurately locate an address or set of points within a specific geographic boundary or polygon.
The Location Intelligence Module also performs analysis on buffered lines, points and polygons. Buffered objects allow you to determine if a specific point falls near the edge, or buffer, of the target polygon area.
Determine the closest site
Radial analysis is simply a distance test, much like using a compass to draw a circle around a given geographical point. The Location Intelligence Module uses a location’s latitude and longitude coordinates, along with a spatial database, to determine the closest site. For example, the Module quickly identifies the closest repair facility to a customer’s home or work address.
Employ the power of geospatial data
Since no two organizations or departments use spatial data exactly the same, it is critical to provide a variety of data choices. The Location Intelligence Module provides a vast selection of key geospatial databases for a wide range of uses and industries. You choose the database that contains the information required to meet your needs. These Module databases help you determine if a specific property is located in a flood zone, near a mud slide area, in a flight path or in a specific school district, for example.
