Data Normalization Module
Standardize terms in your database to create a uniform experience for all of your customers
Standardize data for a uniform customer experience
Set higher data quality standards. Establish guidelines for data uniformity. Create a more meaningful brand experience for your customers. Standardize terms within your customer database to your preferred forms. Generate consistent communications to managing customer relationships more effectively.
The Data Normalization Module for the Spectrum Technology Platform can identify, extract and standardize any data element – ensuring consistent terms are used across any domain. The module’s Open Parser allows the creation, management and deployment of cultural specific or cultural neutral grammars to identify and isolate key data from streaming data fields. Parse any type of data – customer, product or business information – for any defined domain, language or culture.
Enhance data quality with advanced standardization capabilities
- User-defined domains – Easily create standards and dictionaries for any domain, including product names, branding elements and business-specific terms
- Multi-level standardization – Standards include changing full words to abbreviations and vice versa, transforming nicknames to full names, and correcting misspellings
- Easy comparisons – Create comparisons by using both unique IDs, for use with distinct records, and non-unique keys, which are shared by similar records
- Pre-populated industry terms – A dictionary of pre-populated terms make it easier to set rules or govern industry terms, company name derivatives, nicknames, business terms, etc.

Sophisticated data normalization features
The Data Normalization Module for the Spectrum Technology Platform allows you to consistently apply terminology in your preferred formats, to present a uniform customer experience at all times.
Normalize data with validated terms
Standardization feature evaluates a term and compares it to a previously validated form of the term. If the term is not in the proper form, then the standard version replaces the term.
Extract elements from strings of data
The Advanced Transformer scans and splits strings of data into multiple fields, placing the extracted and non-extracted data into an existing file or a new field.
Multi-domain, culture and language specific parsing
Open Parser components include the Domain Editor (comprised of three levels of capability: culture, grammars and rules), Basic Tables (company terms, family names, maturity suffixes) and Enhanced Tables (given names, family names, Arabic given names and Arabic family names).
Increased international support
Standardize data for a global client base with support for multiple languages and over 200 cultures, all in the same data input.
