    Intelligent Enterprise has selected MapInfo’s location technology solutions as the winner of the publication’s Sixth-Annual Readers’ Choice Awards. Chosen by more than 80,000 Intelligent Enterprise readers, MapInfo received the prestigious Best Geospatial Analysis Platform award in the Intelligence category for its industry leading enterprise-mapping solutions. Enterprises in the financial, retail, telecommunications, insurance and government markets use MapInfo location technology to perform in-depth data analysis and drive more insightful decisions.
  • MapInfo-based Community Policing Application Named ‘Best Solution’ at GTC Southwest
    The MapInfo community policing application, developed for the Troy, New York Police Department, has been named a Best Solution at GTC Southwest, a conference produced by Government Technology. The Troy Community Policing Unit is using MapInfo’s intranet-based crime analysis and mapping technology and data to police more effectively and better protect the community and its citizens.
  • MapInfo Named Economic Winner 2005-CEG Annual Technology Awards
    MapInfo has been named the 2005 Economic Winner by the Center for Economic Growth as part of its annual Technology Awards. The Economic Winner is a company that exhibits substantial and sustained growth in sales and profitability, contributing to the overall regional economy and employment.
  • Bloor Research Recognizes Group 1’s Data Flow For Leading-Edge Data Integration and Movement Technology
  • Government Technology
    MapInfo’s Web-based application for the Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) was named a Best Solution by Government Technology. The DOC will be honored at Government Technology Southwest Conference. The DOC uses MapInfo’s location-based intelligence technology to track inmate’s movements within the 21 prisons, centers or facilities in the State of Colorado. (January 2003)

  • MapInfo Named to Forbes’ 200 Best Small Companies List

    The Forbes 200 Best Small Companies annual list is comprised of small, but growing, publicly-traded businesses demonstrating superior performance in the marketplace. To qualify, a company must have sales between $5 million and $750 million. In addition, candidates must carry profit margins of greater than 5 percent, with positive sales and profit growth, on average, over both the last five years and last 12 months.

    MapInfo is ranked #163 in Software Magazine’s annual ranking of the 500 world’s largest software and services suppliers. ( Fall Edition 2006)
  • Great Places to Work

  • Daniel Gerron Receives Capital Region’s “40 Under 40”Award
    Daniel Gerron, MapInfo Vice President of Business Planning, has received the Capital District Business Review’s “40 Under 40” award, which honors the Capital Region’s 40 most influential and successful professionals under age 40. The award acknowledges Gerron’s work at MapInfo, where he has been instrumental in providing financial and operational analysis in support of MapInfo’s strategic planning, product management and mergers and acquisitions efforts for the past eight years.
